Each week at school, a Letter of the Week is chosen

In learning the letter of the week, the kids have to make a list of words that begin with that letter

Lucy takes this task very seriously

She works very hard at sounding the words out herself and spelling them with no help

She then takes great pains in drawing the perfect picture to illustrate the letter of the week

This week's letter is G

Her list includes goose, gecko, Go-Gurt Yogurt, gumdrop, gnu, girl and gym

As she was drawing her pictures, one in particular had us stumped

Honey, what is that one?

That's the gnu

You know, it's a kind of a boat
